Happy Halloween everyone!

I do not make Halloween greeting cards to sell for the simple reason no one buys them.  But I do try to make some for family. Here is what I created this year:

Glitter paper cut out with Top Note die cut (one of my favorites!). Picture edged with Cats Eyes blue ink.

The Black Cat is a rub-on, and the bat is from a die cut.  The picture is edged with Cats Eyes red ink.

I love this little black kitty, and I know the recipients will as well!

Notice the 3 brads at center left...

Silver Glitter Ink for the spider and his hanging thread.

Just such a cute little Witch. Candy Corn brad in upper right corner.

Picture edged in black Cats Eyes ink.

These adorable Halloween "pictures" are similar to the Dogs and Cats I did earlier this month.  These are leftovers from last Halloween, so I'll have to come up with all new items for next Halloween.

I had an old Halloween paper pack that includes all kinds of cut-outs.  I created this card from some of those items.  (I will now donate the rest of the paper pack to a local teachers program as I rarely use it.)  The green pumpkin is made from a regular die-cut.

Hope you get your cards out over the weekend, then it will be time to work on Thanksgiving cards.

Darn!  Christmas is not that far away....have you started your Holiday cards yet?!

Happy Monday everyone!

We had a very good weekend in our household.  Saturday, I worked up some greeting cards; then Sunday, my husband and I went with a couple of friends to the Northwest Chocolate Festival in Seattle, Washington.  It was a great event with yummy samplings, informative meetings and workshops, and great information and contacts to help my husband in crafting his chocolates.

Ok, off to the cards...I wanted to work up some quick, simple and inexpensive greeting cards.  Here is what I came up with:

Base paper Garden Party (pretty paper bloc - Marianne). Blue ribbon is Ghirardelli reverse side. Silver, Copper & Gold studs (made by me).

Base paper Butterfly Glade (wild rose studios). Basic Green ribbon and White paper doily.

Base paper Blackberry Lane (wild rose studios). Green lace. Dogs piece is edged in French Blue (cats eyes).

Base paper Butterfly Garden (wild rose studios). Basic Blue matt. Petite Stitch White ribbon (sweet petites). Green Pearl (kaiser scrapbook) in middle of Pink and White Flower pieces.

Base paper Dog Bones.  Maroon sheer ribbon. Dalmations piece is edged in Lipstick Red (cats eyes).

Base paper basic Orange-Brown plaid, Dog Bone ribbon with Dog Paw brad.

Base paper Antique Library (wild rose studio), basic Red cardstock matt. Sheer Red ribbon, and 2 Flower pieces with Green rhinestone (kaiser scrapbook).

Base paper Peach Blossom (wild rose studio), Purple matt and sheer Pink ribbon.

Base paper Music and Gold stock ribbon.  Gold, Silver & Copper star studs (made by me).

These Dog pieces are from Pampered Pups collage pack (tj designs).  I've had this awhile and just didn't know what to do with it.  Perfect for these simple basic greeting cards.

All these cards are size 5½ X 4¼ inches, blank inside and come with matching envelopes.

When I set out to do these cards Saturday, I was planning to do Portrait style.  Did I get any?  So, I decided to try again...

Base and matt paper Bluebell paper pack (wild rose studio). Silver ribbon and 3 Green blings.

Base paper Letters from Paris (wild rose studio), dark Blue matt and braided Purple ribbon.

Flight of Fancy base paper (wild rose studio) and sheer Lavender ribbon.

Butterfly Garden (wild rose studio) base and matt papers. Gold sheer ribbon and 3 pearls (kaiser scrapbook).

Finally!  Some nice portrait style cards.  Again, all are blank inside for personal messages, come with matching envelopes and are size 4¼ X 5½ inches.  These collage pieces come from Curious Kitties collage pack (tj designs).

All these cards are priced between $2.50 and $3.00 and will be available at our holiday craft shows.  Be sure to come out and pick out your favorites.  Keith will have his etched glassware and handmade chocolates, so start thinking Gifts!

A couple of months ago, I completed a couple of 3-D foil greeting cards.  One was for a friend, and we had not given it to him yet so I didn't post.  Well, we all still have yet to get together, but I wanted to show you that card set:

The card foil pieces are from Joy!crafts Metallic Decoupage 3D Music set.  Base paper Reflections.  There are lots of various pieces in this set, so you can be as creative as you want.

The second card from this Music set with base paper Et Cetera Collection (bo bunny). Card is edged in Picked Raspberry (tim holtz) distressed ink.  The second photo of this pair is an attempt to show the 3-D effect.  I used much smaller pop squares this time.

There are smaller pieces left over that I can add to enhance another card.
