I was informed by one of my customers that my (postage) stamp greeting cards stock was low.  Turns out, they were right!

Since I'm still working up cards for the June Pet Expo, I pulled out a bunch of cat stamps to make cards.  Here they are:

The bright foil papers are all from Belgium.

So cute -- Persians are such "royal" at times.

More papers from Belgium.

Have to put in some wild cats for my customers.

Wow!  These were all so fun to do, quick and easy, and affordable for the customers!

I had to take time out of making greeting cards to make a Baby Folio.  Here is the baby card I made for the new mother.  The paper matches the Folio.

And the Baby Folio....I started with Tim Holtz blank folio, and decorated the cover and created all the pages inside.

 Cover of the Folio.

Inside cover of folio as well as center flaps with pages under.

Close-up of inside flap.

Center section of folio.

Top flap of center section.

Center pages.

Bottom flap.

More center pages....

Last page of the center pages section.  There is a big pocket behind this paper so the mother can add more photos and/or other memorabilia.

Inside flap of folio that closes over the right side of folio keeping everything inside.

The purpose of the Baby Folio is to make notations of the baby's birth and first year.  Photos and other items can be added.  The mother was very excited to receive this handmade gift -- took 3 days to make.  Baby is due any time now.

Oh, and to my mother, since it is today -- Happy Birthday Mom!

Here are the cards I did in February....

Hand cross stitched Scottie for our dog-loving customers.

I started doing a bunch of layered cards back in December, but did not have time to finish them.  Here they are in finished form.....Yes, this one and the next two are foil layered cards.

Still trying to keep the cards simple.

Hand layered birthday card!

For the "foodie" customer.  Remember, the paper has to "work" with the card.

Yes, still hand layered cards.

We have a large show coming up in early June, the Seattle Pet Expo.  It is a two-day event at the Seattle Convention Center.  This will be our first time holding a booth.  In preparation for it, I am creating a BUNCH of cat and dog themed cards.  This is what I have so far.....

Keeping it simple so I can sell these cards are a reasonable price.

Don't you just love these kitties?!

Now, this one is different.  It is a rub-on from Europe.  The US rub-ons are VERY difficult to work with.  I got a bunch from our Belgium friends, and this is the first one I attempted.  So EASY and FUN!  And makes a great card!

I have 4 nieces and nephews who enjoy hearing from Auntie Carol and Uncle Keith.  The kitty and dog card above, I sent to one nephew.  Lightning McQueen below I was going to send to the other nephew, but his birthday is so close by, I held it out for then.

These two cards I made for my two nieces in California.

Lastly, I stitched this one for my Sister-in-Law's birthday.  We always go to the local Sewing & Stitchery Expo together, which is always very close if not on her birthday.  She has kept every card I made for her.

Til next time!

Hi Everyone!  Happy New Year's, Happy Valentine's Day and everything in between!  Yes, I am quite behind in everything, but the year started off running....Oh wait, not actually.

New Year's Eve day, my husband and I decided it was time to sneak out of town and get our snow fix.  Yes, we really did sneak out of town.  It was great!!! Loved the snow at Snoqualmie Pass, my sister and family had snow at their place, and it snowed a couple more inches while we were there.  We visited for 5 days, enjoyed the snow, relaxed, played with their family's dogs and cats, enjoyed the snow some more, and then drove home in the snow over White Pass. Even saw Elk up there.  Nice mini vacation, much deserved!

Upon returning home, we jumped right back in to medical appointments for the husband, some annual medical stuff for me, getting ready to do our income tax return (those are done, check!), and all manner of family stuff.  A brother moved in temporarily in early February to work full time at a contract job.  That contract was extended another month, so he's still here.  My sister from eastern Washington came over with her family in late February to attend a concert.  They bought tickets so we could attend with them.  Not our usual kind of music, but it was actually relaxing and enjoyable.

In the meantime, I've been able to sneak in some card making time here and there.  Here's what I created in January.....and I'll post more cards over the next several weeks.  Enjoy!

With this set of cards, I am trying for simple, very simple, but still attractive and/or fun.

Embossed backgrounds, ribbon and/or design on top.  Simple but nice.

This one is hand layered (I put the pieces together).

Commercial layered sticker for a fun summer card.

Another layered I put together.

A Peacock tag still makes for a nice greeting card!

This Rose turned out to be too much for a greeting card, so I put it in a trivet, added a few bling, ribbon and background paper, and gave it to my husband for his Valentine's Day "card."  He loves it!
